She is a cofounder of the Independent School Educator’s List (ISED), a discussion group for independent school educators, with more than 2,000 subscribers from schools on every continent. In June, Marti will retire from GDS after 33 years so she can write more blogs and a book about the digital world and how adults and kids can become stronger citizens by learning as much about it as possible. She will receive the inaugural Outstanding Educator Award from the Independent School section of the International Society of Technology Educators (ISTE).
