Distinguished journalist Maureen Bunyan has reported and interpreted the news in Washington, DC, for more than 44 years. Known as a leader and advocate for women and minorities in journalism, she has served as anchor at WJLA and other DC television stations. Her numerous awards include “Washingtonian of the Year” and her induction to the “Hall of Fame” of the Washington Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, “The Silver Circle” of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), and the Broadcast Pioneers Club of Washington. She will share her thoughts about her years of reporting in Washington, DC, and the crucial issues currently confronting our nation.
