“Merchants of Doubt,” an astounding documentary by Naomi Orestes and Erik Conway, will be shown on the eve of the March for Science on April 22, 2017. The film is an historic exposé of corporate
obfuscation, such as the campaigns to allow the continued sales of cigarettes (even when known to cause cancer) and the belching of toxic chemicals into the air we breathe, with longterm damage to our global environment. Naomi Orestes and Erik Conway, both PhD historians of science, have studied geophysics and climate change for over thirty years.
This is a “must see” film that exposes the horrifying depths to which corporations will sink in order to keep maximizing more and more profits regardless of human or environmental costs today and to generations yet to be born.
PRICE: $25 Members/$30 Non-Members; $10 film only
