Patriot Priest tells a story—spanning several historical epochs and featuring the life experience of Patricia Daly-Lipe’s great uncle, Msgr. William A Hemmick. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and raised in Europe, he committed himself to help the troops when World War I broke out and after the war, was proclaimed the Patriot Priest of Picardy by the Army and Navy. After years in Paris, Msgr. Hemmick served the Vatican in Rome and ultimately became the only American Canon of St. Peter’s representing the Knights of Malta to the Holy See.

Dr. Patricia Daly-Lipe, an author and artist, has written six books. Her awards include a San Diego Book Award and the Annual Royal Dragonfly Book Award for historical fiction. She has taught at colleges and writing centers and written for magazines and newspapers. Her paintings have been accepted and sold in juried shows, art galleries, and private homes. The book will be available for purchase and signing.
