The arts have a tremendous potential to transform the world of politics and geopolitics. Think of the novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin or Picasso’s “Guernica.” But how can storytelling help create positive change at a time of fake news and outlandish presidential tweets? John Feffer is a playwright, performer, novelist, and foreign policy expert whose just-published dystopian novel, Splinterlands, anticipated the election of Donald Trump. He will discuss the urgency of storytelling at the current moment with examples from his novel and his performances.
Splinterlands will be available for sale and signing.
