From its inception in 1976, GALA Hispanic Theatre has been at the forefront in giving voice to the Latino community and addressing issues of diversity, inclusion, and equity in the arts. Through its artistic programs, GALA has tackled issues of race, health, gentrification, education, immigration, youth, and arts and culture, and become a leader in the national Latino arts community. Presenters include Hugo Medrano (left), Co-founder and Producing Artistic Director; Rebecca Read Medrano (mid), Co-founder and Executive Director; and Abel Lopez (right), Associate Producing Director.
