Tour the Library of Congress’s Jefferson Building, the oldest and most ornate of the Library’s three buildings on Capitol Hill. The one-hour, docent-led tour will highlight the Library’s history and holdings, how the Library works, and the interior decoration of the Jefferson Building, which many think is the most beautifully decorated public building in the country. Lunch will be served at the WNDC after the tour.
The Jefferson Building is located at 10 First Street, SE, across the street from the Capitol. Enter through the driveway-level entrance, under the massive staircase. We will meet at 10:30 am at the Information Desk, which will be directly in front of you after clearing security. Tour begins at 10:45 am. Tour size is limited to 25 attendees.
