A Celebration of The First Hundred Days of Mayor Muriel Bowser’s Administration

Membership initiation fee waived if application submitted at event.

PRICE: $40 for members, $50 for non-members.

Proceeds will benefit WNDC’s Educational Foundation nonpartisan educational outreach. (Please make checks payable to WNDC Educational Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization.)

Please join WNDC members and guests to meet and welcome DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, who will speak on her plans for the District of Columbia and introduce some of the top women she has appointed to her cabinet.

Mayor Bowser was first elected Ward 4 Councilmember in a special election in 2007, re-elected in 2008, and again in 2012.  Running for  mayor, she received the endorsement of the Washington Post, which described her as “smart, hardworking, and independent-minded…[who] has shown herself to be an effective advocate for the interests of her demanding ward and a leading voice for education reform and good government.” On November 4, 2014, voters elected Muriel as the seventh elected, and the second woman mayor of the District of Columbia.

A native Washingtonian, Mayor Bowser  earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Chatham College and a master’s degree in public policy from American University.
