From the mid-1970s to 1990, Brent Budowsky served as Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Lloyd Bentsen. He was responsible for commerce and intelligence matters, and was one of the core drafters of the CIA Identities Law. He served as Legislative Director to Congressman Bill Alexander, then as Chief Deputy Whip of the House of Representatives. Mr. Budowsky is currently a member of the International Advisory Council of the Intelligence Summit. In 1990, he left government for his marketing and public affairs business, and he is a regular contributor to The Hill.
