Brian Frosh, the twice-elected attorney general for the state of Maryland, is a champion for the environment, public health, and the most vulnerable populations. Under his leadership, Maryland became the first state in the nation to issue guidance prohibiting discriminatory profiling by law enforcement, declaring definitively that race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, and religion cannot be factors in routine police activity. Mr. Frosh and District of Columbia Attorney General Karl A. Racine recently filed a lawsuit alleging that President Trump had violated the Constitution’s emoluments clauses by benefiting from foreign governments through his hotel and golf businesses.
Prior to being elected Maryland’s attorney general, Mr. Frosh served in the Maryland General Assembly for 28 years. He was elected as Maryland’s 46th Attorney General in November 2014, and has been committed to serving as the “people’s lawyer.”
