Almost exactly one year after the end of her 2016 presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton will be honored with the Democratic Woman of the Year Award of the Woman’s National Democratic Club in recognition of her extraordinary contributions to American politics and international affairs, as well as the inspiration she has provided to women and girls around the world.
The first woman to win a major party nomination for president – and winner of the popular vote in the 2016 election – Hillary will talk about her latest book, What Happened. Twice presidential candidate, Secretary of State, US Senator from New York, former First Lady, wife, mother, grandmother, and lifelong women’s advocate, she will share her insights about the political changes she has witnessed across the US, as well as her thoughts about the Democratic Party and her vision for the future.
