Former DC Mayor Sharon Pratt serves as Founding Director of the Institute for Politics, Policy, and History (IPPH). Elected Mayor of  DC in 1990, Pratt was the first African American female to hold such a position in the US. She also serves as Founding Chairman of Home Preservation Exchange, a nonprofit focused on stabilizing neighborhoods by acquiring troubled mortgages.
