On October 29, 1865, activist, orator, and former slave, Sojourner Truth, met with President Lincoln in the White House. Join us for tea with ‘Sojourner Truth’ as she reflects on her life from being a slave in New York to serving as one of the 19th century’s leading champions for abolition and women’s rights. Passionate impersonator Pat Sloan returns to the Whittemore House by popular demand after her cameo performance in the Educational Foundation’s “Songs for Suffrage” event in June.
