Educational Foundation: Songs of Freedom: Journeying the Underground Railroad

In honor of Harriet Tubman’s 200th birthday, the WNDC Educational Foundation is proud to present Songs of Freedom: Journeying the Underground Railroad. Performed by Linda Harris, vocalist and narrator; David B.Cole, guitar; Greg Holloway, percussion; and Emory Diggs, bass and produced by Cliftine Jones, the program will honor the “code songs” used on the clandestine journey along the Underground Railroad. Tickets are $40 and include hors d’ouevres, and there will be a cash bar. The event will take place at the Whittemore House, 1526 New Hampshire Ave NW, Washington, DC 20036. Register below!
