The Last Battlefront is a historical film—the first ever made—about a two-century struggle for basic rights of democracy, self-government, and representation in Congress in Washington, DC, as told through the lives and voices of its people, Black & White. They seek rights long held and treasured by every American in all the states, but which are denied to residents of the nation’s capital.
Alongside the filmmaker, Anna Reid Jhirad, join the Woman’s National Democratic Club for a showing of her latest film, The Last Battlefront. After the film, you’ll have the chance to ask questions and engage in a discussion with the filmmaker herself!
