How Much Is Enough? Pentagon Spending & the Quest for Security

July 13, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

William D. Hartung, director of the Arms and Security Program at the Center for International Policy (CIP) and the co-director of CIP’s Sustainable Defense Task Force will answer three central questions:

1) How much do we spend on “national defense”?

2) Is the money being spent wisely, and does it address our most urgent security challenges?

3) What are the politics of Pentagon spending?

Author, subject matter expert, and leader in national security issues for over 15 years, Hartung will offer valuable insight into global arms proliferation and the realities of pentagon spending and budget priorities in 2021.
