Tues, Nov 10th – Forecast for the 117th Congress

This event is the second in our Beyond 2020: Experts Explain series. US Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA) has staked out an optimistic and unabashedly progressive set of stances in his 4-year tenure in Congress. Understanding Democrats’ fortunes in the Senate as well as the House will set expectations for ambitious—or defensive—postures with respect to climate, healthcare, and economic policies. As first vice-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Rep. Khanna will also provide a reading on the the fortunes of progressive candidates up and down ballots across the country, and give us an early forecast about the nature and makeup of 117th Congress (2021–2023).
