Wed, May 26 – Artist Talk: Alice Shih

May 26, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Join us for our virtual reception and artist talk with exhibiting artist, Alice Shih, as she discusses her new exhibition, “Periphery: Cultural Discoveries”. Shih uses her art to explore and understand her dual heritages—she was born in Taiwan and raised in the United States. Through her paintings, she navigates these dualities in vibrant expressions of creativity and imagination. As an Asian woman, an American citizen, painter, daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, educator, and person, Shih uses her canvas to understand and find clarity  with her identity through painting.
