Gun Violence Reform – Teach-in Panel

TIME: 6:00 pm – Bar opens; 6:30 pm – Panel, followed by letter writing
How can we as individuals and as a community come together to oppose gun violence?
Please join us for this teach-in panel, organized by the WNDC Young Dems, with leaders in gun reform policy and advocacy, Dr. Valda Crowder, Emergency Medicine physician, Lauren Alfred, Policy Director at Sandy Hook Promise, and Josh Horwitz, Executive Director at the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence. They will teach us about the gun reform policy landscape, as well as strategies we can use to take direct action to push for change.
Immediately following this panel, we will write letters to legislators to push for gun reform. We will deliver the letters to legislative offices on Capitol Hill the following week.
