Marie Clarke Brill is executive director of ActionAid USA, which works throughout the globe with coalitions of poor and excluded people to provide relief from disasters and conflicts, empower women, fight hunger, and increase access to education. Previously, she served as deputy director of Africa Action and as executive director of the Jubilee USA Network, which seeks the cancellation of impoverished countries’ debt.
Ramona Vijeyarasa, the international programme manager for women’s rights at ActionAid International, previously led ActionAid’s women’s rights team in the areas of violence against women and sexual and reproductive rights. She has also worked for the International Organisation for Migration in Vietnam and Ukraine, the Center for Reproductive Rights, and the International Center for Transitional Justice. She is the author of Sex, Slavery and the Trafficked Woman: Dispelling the Myths and Misconceptions about Trafficking and its Victims.
