Luncheon Discussion on the Mueller Report
Tuesday, April 23, 2019 (Lunch)
TIME: 11:30am – Bar opens; 12:15pm – Lunch served; 1-2pm – Discussion
TYPE: Luncheon & Discussion
A redacted version of the Mueller report was released Thursday. And it leaves us with as many questions as answers. What is the road ahead? What do we know for sure, and what are the possibilities in the days ahead? What more could the Special Counsel have done? What were the things that held him back?
Join us for a luncheon with George Frampton, who will review the (redacted) Mueller Report and provide an assessment about its contents and the process that was followed by Special Prosecutor Mueller and Attorney General Barr. Frampton was Assistant Special Prosecutor of the Watergate Special Prosecution Force on the Watergate cover-up grand jury investigation and trial. He authored the report that the Grand Jury transmitted to the House Impeachment Committee, summarizing the evidence from the Nixon tapes. In 1984, he co-directed the grand jury investigation of Edwin Meese supervised by Independent Counsel Jacob Stein. With Richard Ben-Veniste, he wrote a book about Watergate (Stonewall, Simon and Schuster, 1976.) His recent op-ed in the New York Times recommended a route forward for the Mueller investigation.
