Nuzhat Sultan

As Director for Arts and Museum Affairs, Nuzhat curates and cares for the visual and decorative arts collection; supervises the arts staff; installs and displays the permanent collection; and oversees the interior decoration (paint, fixtures, furnishings, library, etc.) of the clubhouse. She plans educational programs and tours for members and the public; chairs the Arts and Museum Committee; and serves as an ex officio member of the building and Grounds Committee and of the Educational Foundation Board. 

Nuzhat Sultan was the principal of Washington Art Associates for 28 years. She co-founded the company to implement educational art and architecture tours for museum membership programs. She was the Exhibitions Chair of the Arts Club of Washington where she curated and juried a number of exhibitions and organized a lecture series. Nuzhat also chaired the Friends of the Corcoran Gallery of Art benefit, co-chaired the Program Committee of Art Table, and was on the board of Pyramid Atlantic, a nationally respected center of print and papermaking. She is now Chair of the Arts Committee at the WNDC.
