While traveling through the West Bank and Gaza with Trocaire, an Irish charitable organization, filmmaker John McColgan, founder of Riverdance, interviews Israelis and Palestinians affected by the conflict. The film also depicts those Israelis and Palestinians who are working for a peaceful settlement of the conflict. McColgan also met with Israeli activists who campaign on behalf of Palestinian communities living under military occupation. The documentary was released in June 2017 to mark the 50th anniversary of the occupation of the West Bank and illustrates the urgent need to bring peace to all the people of Israel and Palestine.

Stella O’Leary, President of Irish American Democrats PAC, will discuss the ways in which the lessons learned in the Northern Ireland peace agreement could be applied to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Her remarks will be followed by Q & A.
