Political scientist John B. Judis returns to WNDC to examine the reality of where polarization has taken the American electorate. In 2023's "Where Have All the Democrats Gone?," Judis wrote about the Democratic Party's persistent drift from the voting base that had powered victories in the Obama era. With his co-author, Ruy Teixeira, Judis repeated this warning in a discussion with a WNDC audience in February 2024. As the November election results bore out, the Democrats' connection with the center has frayed, but is the damage irreparable?
