Brian L. Schwalb is the District of Columbia's second independently elected attorney general,  a position that serves as the chief legal office of DC.  The OAG enforces the District’s laws, works to protect and defend D.C. residents, and provides the highest level of independent legal advice and guidance to DC government agencies.

Brian is back by popular demand as he spoke to WNDC last year before his election and described his vision for the office. He’s now in the forefront of efforts to protect DC’s Home Rule Act and to defend our laws in the face of potential decimation by the Trump Administration and the Republican-dominated Congress.   He is has also been working on local issues to warn DC Residents about energy company scams, to sue a pest control company for falsifying licensing documents that exposed customers to toxic chemicals, and to secure over $1 Million from a District landlord involved in a rental price-fixing scheme.
