The Woman’s National Democratic Club, in partnership with the  Montgomery County Women’s Democratic Club, invites you to a timely and high-impact luncheon examining the state of women’s rights in the United States — and why U.S. policy choices matter globally.

As legal challenges reshape workplaces, federal institutions are weakened, and U.S. gender diplomacy has retreated, what does this mean for women’s economic security at home and women’s rights abroad? This event will bring together leaders in employment law, domestic policy, and international diplomacy to explore strategies for navigating setbacks and reclaiming progress.

Featured Speakers:

  • Ken Gage, Partner & Global Co-Chair, Employment Law Department, Paul Hastings LLP
Gage is a leading expert on employment law, DEI litigation, and legal risk management for large employers.

  • Wendy Chun-Hoon, President and Executive Director, Center for Law and Social Policy (CLASP); former Director, U.S. Department of Labor Women’s Bureau
Chun-Hoon is a national leader in women’s economic security, workplace protections, and care policy. She has dedicated her career to advancing the rights of women, LGBTQ people, and marginalized communities through strategic advocacy and coalition-building.

  • Katrina Fotovat, former Senior Official, Office of Global Women’s Issues, U.S. Department of State
Fotovat is a former U.S. diplomat advancing gender equality, democracy, and women’s rights worldwide. She co-founded Peace Pays, a pioneering initiative using AI to prevent violence, strengthen democratic resilience, and support women-led peace-building globally.
