Let’s get social! Join other Club members at The Whittemore House for a friendly game of mahjong on Monday afternoons from 2 to 4 p.m.  

All are welcome. Mahjong is a very social game that’s easy to learn. Once you understand the basics, the game becomes more interesting as you develop strategies for playing your hand. Beginners receive instruction along with guidance throughout the games. More experienced players are matched with other players with similar skills or may help new players learn while playing a game. 

The many benefits of playing mahjong have been well documented, including: 

• Cognitive stimulation and improved memory? 

• Stress relief and relaxation 

• Social connection and bonding with friends 

• Enhanced mindfulness and focus? 

Whatever your reason for getting involved in Mahjong Mondays, we look forward to seeing you and your guests! 

When: Every Monday, 2– 4 p.m. Coffee, tea, and water will be available.

Cost: Free for members; $10 for nonmembers. 

What to bring: Each player should bring a copy of the Official Hands and Rules Card, which may be purchased from the National Mah Jongg League. 

Registration: Members need to register themselves and their guests for each Mahjong Monday through the member portal so that we know how many players to expect.
