WNDC Get Out the Vote and Policy and Political Action Committee Activities
April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAM). Each year during SAAM, the National Sexual Violence Resource Center works to raise awareness about sexual assault and how to prevent sexual assault. See the statistics. Get involved to make a difference.

Sister District's State Bridges Program: Saturday, April 26, 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Join WNDC and the Sister District DC Metro Area in supporting the New Virginia Majority Education Fund (NVM EF), a Sister District State Bridges partner this year! We’ll meet at the bottom of the hill in the grassy area near the southeast corner of the Frederick Douglass Bridge and then take a short walk across the bridge (rain or shine). Advocacy/Lobbying Members of Congress

Congress has gone home for April recess. If you live in a state, seize this opportunity to speak out at public events in your state or district to remind your elected representatives they work for you. DC residents can ask friends and family in their states to take action.
Attend a Town Hall or Request an in-office meeting! Here’s your April Recess Toolkit from Indivisible. The House of Representatives is in recess from April 11th to April 27th.
