As America prepares to celebrate the Centennial of women winning the vote in 1920, WNDC kicks off our celebration of suffrage on October 3 with an evening reception, exhibition, and presentation. Ann Lewis (former White House Communications Director for President Bill Clinton and Senior Advisor to the Senate and Presidential campaigns of Hillary Rodham Clinton), and Allida Black (noted historian and friend of WNDC, leader of Ready for Hillary, Senior Advisor to the Hillary for America campaign, and founder of the Eleanor Roosevelt Project) will present authentic examples of Suffrage political material and discuss the strategies they represent and the messages that still work for women voters today. Lewis is founder of the Ann Lewis Women’s Suffrage Collection, which can be found online.
