In 1996, Suzanne retired from the Organization of American States as Senior Program Administrative Officer, managing economic and social development programs in Central and South America and the Caribbean. She took her first photography course in 2001 and has since been hooked on this art form, specializing in nature and travel photography to all seven continents. She received the Master Photographer Award from the NIH Camera Club; awards from the Nature Visions Exhibition, the Audubon Society, the National Wildlife Federation; and more. She has served on the boards of the Montgomery Bird Club, the NIH Camera Club, and the Sumner Garden Club in Bethesda that has sold her donated photographs to help maintain community gardens.
The slide show she will present depicts the artistic city of Santiago and the vast glacial and forested World Heritage Park Patagonia Torres del Paine in southern Chile.
