The Women’s Storytelling Salon Series celebrates women’s professional achievements, sparks conversations through sharing stories, and inspires and motivates participants to act through connection and collaboration.
On March 9, two former Assistant Secretaries of State will share their stories of their journeys as professionals in U.S. Diplomacy. Bathsheba Crocker was Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs from September 2014 to January 2017. Earlier in the Obama administration, Ms. Crocker was Principal Deputy Director in State’s Office of Policy Planning and Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary.
Nisha Desai Biswal served as Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs from September 2013-January 2017 where she was responsible for U.S. foreign policy and managing relations with Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
