Woman’s National Democratic Club (“WNDC”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our members, guests, event participants, and other individuals who interact with our organization. - SMS Program Information: when you opt in to receive text messages from WNDC, we collect your mobile phone number and message delivery/engagement metadata (for example, delivery status and timestamps).
Note: We do not collect sensitive personal data through the SMS program.

- Send important updates, event notifications, membership communications, and other WNDC-related information.
- Deliver SMS messages you have opted in to receive.
- Respond to inquiries and manage membership records and event participation.

3. SMS Messaging & Mobile Phone Numbers
WNDC operates an SMS notification program for members and interested individuals. Participation is voluntary.
3.1 How to Opt In
You may opt into SMS messages at any time in your account settings. Navigate to Profile -> Privacy and place a check in the 'I wish to receive text messages' checkbox.
3.2 How to Opt Out
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time in your account settings. Navigate to Profile -> Privacy and uncheck the 'I wish to receive text messages' checkbox.
3.3 Use & Protection of Mobile Numbers
WNDC does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS purposes are used exclusively for WNDC communications.
4. Sharing of Information
We may share information only as necessary to operate our services:
- Service Providers: We may share limited data (including mobile phone numbers) with trusted service providers who assist us in delivering SMS messages, managing events, or operating our website. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your information for any purpose other than performing services for WNDC.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process.
We do not sell or share personal information with political campaigns, commercial marketers, or external organizations for promotional use.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. If you request deletion of your personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete the data from our systems and those of our service providers, subject to any legal or operational constraints.

Please note: if you request deletion of your mobile number, that number will be removed from our SMS program and you will no longer receive SMS messages from WNDC. Deletion requests may take a short period to be fully processed across all systems and service providers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last Updated” date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
