Think you know how the world sees America? Think again. Join us for a thought-provoking program with Richard Wike, who leads global attitudes research at the Pew Research Center.

He will present Pew's latest international survey findings on how the world views the United States, including opinions on President Trump, U.S. soft power, and our nation's global role.Wike will also share insights on global perceptions of China and how Americans themselves view foreign policy in today’s shifting geopolitical landscape. Wike manages Pew's international survey research and writes about international public opinion on a variety of topics, such as democracy, international cooperation, and attitudes toward the United States and China. In addition to producing Pew reports, he has written for Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, The Atlantic, The Financial Times, The Guardian, Nikkei Asia, Politico, Journal of Democracy, Journal of Politics, and more. Wike has been interviewed by U.S. news organizations such as CNN, NBC, NPR, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post, as well as numerous non-U.S. news organizations, including the BBC, Deutsche Welle, El País, The Financial Times, France 24, The Guardian, and South China Morning Post.

Prior to joining Pew, Wike was a senior associate for international and corporate clients at Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, where he provided strategic advice to international political campaigns and corporations. He got his start in public opinion research with Schapiro Research Group, an Atlanta-based polling firm. He has a Ph.D. in political science from Emory University.
