Join us for an engaging talk and discussion led by internationally renowned educator and author Jackson Katz, Ph.D., on the public and private crisis fueled by masculinity, misogyny, and violence.

The headlines tell the story: The Epstein files. Trump ordered to pay sexual assault victim E. Jean Carroll. Rising Democratic politicians Eric Swalwell and Graham Platner felled by sexual assault scandals. The Tate brothers arrested in Miami. ICE officer in fatal Maine shooting has reported history of domestic violence. GOP congressional candidate faces domestic abuse allegations. The list goes on and on: the ongoing crisis of men’s violence against women affects not only our families and communities –- but also our politics.

Katz's concise, energetic book combines social history with cultural critique about the ongoing crisis of gender-based violence, along with a call to action for men at every level of cultural, institutional, and political leadership.

Jackson Katz, Ph.D., is an educator, author, and scholar-activist who has long been a major figure in the growing global movement of men working to promote gender equity and prevent gender-based violence. He co-founded the multiracial, mixed gender MVP program, the first large-scale GBV prevention initiative in college and professional athletics, and the first system-wide program of its kind in the U.S. military. He is the creator of numerous award-winning educational documentaries, including the classic Tough Guise series and The Man Card: 50 Years of Gender, Power, and the American Presidency. He has published numerous articles and three books. In 2024 he co-founded the Young Men Research Project. His TEDx talk on the urgent need to engage and mobilize men in the struggle to end gender-based violence has been translated into 27 languages and has over 5.7 million views.
