Join the WNDC for an illuminating discussion on the state of federal workers amid recent developments tied to DOGE activities and Project 2025 with Doreen Greenwald, President of the National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU), a leading voice for federal employees. This conversation will explore terminations and suspensions, offering insights into potential paths for resistance and rebuilding. EVENT DETAILS:
Doreen P. Greenwald, a frontline federal employee for 35 years, was elected national president of NTEU in August 2023. As the union’s top elected official, she is the spokesperson representing NTEU with the media, Congress, and federal agency leadership on issues important to union members and federal employees. Greenwald was previously the special assistant to the national president and was elected national executive vice president in 2022. She spent her federal career at the IRS, where she worked as a revenue officer and served for 14 years as president of NTEU Chapter 1 (IRS Wisconsin). Greenwald helped negotiate multiple NTEU-IRS collective bargaining agreements. |
